Do I need Elective Mathematics?
For science and engineering programmes, effectively yes — it is a separate subject from Core Mathematics, and its absence closes routes that are hard to reopen.
Can I resit?
The private candidate series allows a resit without repeating the year, which makes a disappointing result recoverable within the same admission cycle.
