01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Student Study ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Student Study ("we", "us", "our"). They apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone else who accesses the Service.

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years old, or that you are using the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

02

  • AI-generated flashcards, quizzes, and study materials aligned to global curricula
  • Spaced repetition and mastery tracking tools
  • Guided lessons and personalised learning paths
  • Interactive study modes (Gravity, Match, Spell, Classic, Write, Test, Learn)
  • An AI tutoring assistant for on-demand academic support
  • Practice exams and progress analytics
  • Gamification features including XP, achievements, streaks, and leaderboards

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the Service as a whole at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

03

Accounts & Registration

To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your password
  • Accept responsibility for all activities occurring under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at [email protected]

You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their permission, or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You may not transfer your account to another person. Each account is for individual use only unless you have a separate institutional agreement with us.

04

Subscriptions & Payments

Student Study offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe and subject to the following:

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, as selected at checkout
  • Prices are shown in your local currency where available, otherwise in GBP or USD
  • You authorise us to charge your payment method on each renewal date
  • All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, which will be added at checkout

Cancellation & Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then
  • We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods
  • If you experience technical issues preventing use, contact support within 7 days for a discretionary review

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will receive at least 30 days' notice before a price increase affects your subscription. You may cancel before the price change takes effect.

05

Credits System

Some features of Student Study are unlocked using a virtual credits system ("Credits"). Credits have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Credits are granted upon account creation and may be purchased in the Credit Store
  • Credits expire 12 months after purchase unless otherwise stated
  • Credits used to unlock features are non-refundable
  • Credits are tied to your account and cannot be transferred
  • Purchased credits are non-refundable once consumed
  • We reserve the right to adjust credit costs for features with notice

Premium subscribers receive unlimited access to all credit-gated features without consuming credits. Credits purchased while on a free plan remain available after upgrading to Premium.

06

AI-Generated Content

Student Study uses large language models (LLMs) from OpenAI and Anthropic to generate educational content. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies

  • You should verify AI-generated content against authoritative sources before relying on it for examinations
  • We do not guarantee that AI content aligns perfectly with your specific exam board's requirements at all times
  • AI content may occasionally reflect outdated information

We continuously work to improve content quality and accuracy. If you find a material error in AI-generated content, please report it via our contact form.
