AQA is the board most English students meet, particularly in the sciences, humanities and social sciences. Its specifications tend to be assessed through a small number of long written papers rather than modular units, which puts a premium on being able to hold a whole year of content in recall at once.

Worth knowing about AQA
The specifics below are the ones that change how you should plan. Always check the current specification with your school or the awarding body — specifications get revised, and the version you are entered for is the one that counts.
AQA Combined Science: Trilogy is worth two GCSEs and is graded on a double scale from 9-9 down to 1-1, which is why revision planning for it behaves differently from three separate sciences.
A-Level Psychology and Sociology are among AQA's biggest entries, and both reward being able to name and evaluate specific studies rather than describe them in general terms.
Required practicals in the GCSE sciences are examined in the written papers, so knowing the method and the reason for each step is worth real marks.
Grade boundaries move every year with paper difficulty, so working to a percentage target rather than a fixed boundary is the more reliable habit.

How should I revise AQA Combined Science?

Can I get practice questions in AQA's style?
