Junior Cycle

How do CAO points change how I should revise?
They reward breadth. Six subjects count, so the points gained by pulling a weak subject up a band usually exceed those gained by polishing an already strong one. Daniel weights sessions accordingly, and Sam will tell you when you are over-investing in a favourite subject.
Is the Higher Maths bonus worth chasing?
For most students aiming at high-points courses, yes — 25 extra points on a pass at Higher level is a large fraction of a grade band elsewhere. Whether it is right for you depends on what dropping to Ordinary would free up, which is exactly the kind of trade-off worth thinking through before sixth year, not during it.
